Community Action Partnership of San Luis Obispo County, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform building, equipment and grounds maintenance across campuses in California.

The role covers minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and janitorial duties to keep facilities safe and welcoming for staff, children and clients. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of related experience, knowledge of light carpentry, plumbing and electrical work, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of related maintenance experience depending on level.
• Experience with light equipment and common maintenance tools.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Performs building, equipment, and grounds maintenance including minor repairs, painting, plumbing, and playground upkeep
• Provides year-round groundskeeping and janitorial services such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing bathrooms
• Maintains tools, inventories supplies, and disposes of trash and debris
• Conducts preventative maintenance per department requirements and safety practices
• Schedules and performs routine maintenance; may oversee part-time staff or helpers as needed
• Reports major repair issues and makes recommendations to supervisor
