Job summary

FirstService Residential is hiring a Maintenance Staff Member in Key Biscayne, FL. The role focuses on keeping mechanical systems and common areas clean, safe, and well-maintained.

The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM, at $25.00 per hour with full-time, non-exempt status and comprehensive benefits. The position requires building trades experience, strong communication, and the ability to perform carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and painting tasks as part of daily work

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
• 2 years general experience in building trades or maintenance.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Multiple language fluency is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Walk floors and roof checks; report issues to supervisors.
• Follow safety precautions at all times.
• Maintain positive working relationships with building staff.
• Paint common areas and touch-ups as needed.
• Complete daily work orders.
• Maintain equipment in good condition.
• Assist with carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and other repairs.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a safe environment.
• Operate new equipment safely.
