Job summary

CBRE HV is seeking a Maintenance Technician to service small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems in Port Charlotte, FL. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and assist with installation and modification of equipment under supervision.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of related experience; you must meet physical demands and have strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or equivalent with 1–2 years of job-related experience.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements (stooping, standing, walking, stairs/ladders, lifting 50 lbs+).
• Able to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Good communication skills for exchanging straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
• Conduct routine maintenance inspections and diagnose problems.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders and track completion with available systems.
• Support energy management to ensure building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect installations for compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Follow defined procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate clearly.
• Contribute to team outputs by following defined duties and processes under supervision.
