Job summary

Allied Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Community Manager in keeping buildings, grounds, and amenities in excellent condition. You will perform routine maintenance, respond to issues, and assist with projects to improve the property experience for residents.

The role emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to safety and quality. This position typically operates Monday–Friday, with standard daytime hours in the Seattle area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or relevant certifications preferred.
• 1 year of maintenance-related experience or equivalent training.
• Basic knowledge of building systems, tools, and repair techniques.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varied weather and environmental conditions.
• Commitment to delivering excellent customer service to residents and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and renovations to buildings, facilities, and equipment.
• Inspect property to identify maintenance needs, determine scope of work, and recommend solutions.
• Assist with contracted projects to ensure adherence to specifications.
• Purchase building and maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment as directed.
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor in adhering to departmental budgets.
• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of common areas, grounds, and amenities.
• Assist with unit turns and preparation for new move-ins.
• Attend and participate in required meetings, safety trainings, and professional development sessions.
• Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and compliance requirements.
