Job summary

Sagetree Terrace Apartment in Houston seeks a Maintenance Technician to preserve the property's appearance and safety, support the Property Manager, and respond to service requests. You will be involved in turnovers, preventative maintenance, and routine inspections while ensuring clean, welcoming spaces for residents.

The role requires physical stamina, 2+ years of maintenance experience, knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and proficiency with tools.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in building maintenance.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; ability to read and interpret technical manuals.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; stand for long periods.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.
• Familiarity with RealPage Maintenance Facilities software.
• Basic proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance of buildings and common areas.
• Complete unit turnovers within 3 days of move-out.
• Paint and perform preventative maintenance per schedule.
• Assist with apartment and systems inspections.
• Respond to work orders in OneSite and prioritize by urgency.
• Address maintenance emergencies, including after-hours.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues.
• Coordinate with vendors and monitor landscape contractor.
• Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Provide excellent resident and stakeholder service.
• Keep maintenance shop organized and clean.
• Ensure property security and proper key control.
