Job summary

Madison Communities is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our Southeast communities. You will perform day-to-day maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs, ensuring apartments are move-in ready and safe for residents.

We value a proactive attitude, reliability, and strong teamwork. Certifications in HVAC, EPA, or CPO are a plus; 18+ years and a high school diploma or equivalent are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems knowledge.
• Positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Team-oriented mindset with solid communication skills.
• 1+ year of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred).
• Certifications (HVAC, EPA, CPO) are a plus; 18+ and HS diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to residents and teammates.
• Handle day-to-day maintenance: painting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Respond to service requests quickly and professionally.
• Ensure apartments are safe, functional, and move-in ready.
• Coordinate with vendors on projects like landscaping and asphalt repairs.
