Job summary

Austin Oaks Hospital in South Austin, Texas, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our behavioral health facility safe and fully operational. You will perform repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems, with a focus on safety and ligature-resistant design.

Responsibilities include maintaining buildings, equipment, and grounds and ensuring compliance with life-safety standards to support patient care and facility

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1+ year experience in commercial facility maintenance; healthcare setting preferred.
Trade school or apprenticeship; valid driver’s license with clean record.
Specialized state/local journeyman license in plumbing or electrical work preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform immediate repairs and preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
Maintain safety-first, ligature-resistant, and patient-secure surroundings.
Ensure safe operation of hospital buildings, equipment, and grounds.
