Position Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for scheduled, unscheduled, and preventive maintenance and repair of a wide variety of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment. Strong mechanical skills are required, including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, conveyor systems, and PLC usage. The Technician completes all work to a high standard, performs all maintenance tasks across the installed asset base, observes and discusses equipment performance, and makes recommendations for improvement. This role promotes and supports company quality and safety standards, focusing on continuous improvement.

Essential Job Functions
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas.
- Adhere to food quality and safety standards as per corporate, customer, and governing bodies (ex. SQF).
- Report issues with the FSMS to responsible managerial employees to initiate corrective actions.
- Perform repair maintenance, preventive maintenance, and line changeovers.
- Diagnose machinery malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic).
- Maintain all production supporting equipment (glycol system, RO system, compressed air system, lubrication systems, chemical distribution systems).
- Use innovative thinking to minimize production downtime while ensuring food safety, product quality, and personnel safety.
- Complete, document, and retrieve final approvals on all assigned work orders, including recording all utilized part numbers for inventory purposes.
- Communicate effectively all relevant maintenance and production information to the relieving shift.
- Assist in training other maintenance personnel.
- Communicate with production during periods of downtime.
- Collaborate with adjacent teams to resolve issues rapidly and drive improvement.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of GMPs.

- Ability to read, understand, and work with machinery blueprints and parts manuals.

Education and Experience
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of previous maintenance experience in manufacturing (preferred).
Working Conditions
- Work schedule may include weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts. Overtime may be scheduled as needed.
- Operate in a fast‑paced production plant with numerous moving parts. Noise levels require hearing protection; temperatures may vary from very hot to relatively cold.
