Essential Job Functions
- Adhere to all health and safety policies, GMPs and wear required PPE while in the warehouse or production areas.
- Maintain food quality and safety per corporate, customer and governing standards (e.g., SQF).
- Report FSMS problems and initiate corrective actions with managerial staff.
- Perform, complete and document repair maintenance, preventive maintenance and line changeovers.
- Diagnose machinery malfunctions (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic) and troubleshoot to minimize downtime while ensuring food safety and personnel safety.
- Maintain production supporting equipment such as glycol, RO, compressed air, lubrication and chemical distribution systems.
- Document work order completions, record part numbers for inventory, and obtain final approvals.
- Communicate effectively with shift teams, production and adjacent teams, and provide training to other maintenance personnel.
- Collaborate with all teams to resolve issues quickly and drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of GMPs and food safety requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret machinery blueprints and parts manuals.
- Work independently without supervision.
- Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills.
- Forklift certification.

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of maintenance experience in manufacturing (preferred).
Working Conditions
Work schedule includes weekdays, weekends, afternoons, evenings, and overnight shifts with overtime as needed. The environment is fast‑paced with moving parts, high noise levels requiring hearing protection, and variable temperatures. The role is structured and supervised.
Travel Requirements
Minimal travel may be required for training purposes.
Physical Requirements
Physical demands are frequently performed (46‑100% of the time). Responsibilities include standing or sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting up to 50 lbs, carrying weight, walking, driving, and climbing stairs or ladders. The position requires visual, sensory attention, excellent hand‑eye coordination, manual dexterity, and the ability to manage mental stress from deadlines and production quotas.
