Defense Mechanics Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician – Auxiliary to perform maintenance work in housing and auxiliary facilities at the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. This position performs intermediate‑skilled craftwork that involves general maintenance work in housing and auxiliary facilities. Duties include installation, maintenance, repair, and service of building systems, with an advanced skill level in a primary craft and occasional competency in a secondary craft.
Supports faculty, staff, and residents by repairing offices, installing shelves, hanging pictures, moving furniture, and performing periodic inspections of doors, furniture, and lights. Maintains tools, inventories supplies, and reports needed equipment to keep work progressing efficiently.
The role is essential personnel and may require overtime, nights, and weekends, including occasional weekend events and security‑sensitive duties.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Availability for overnight shifts and weekend events may be required.
