Job summary

Vivmark Residential is seeking a Maintenance Technician Apprentice who will train with our property management team to learn essential skills in property maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, appliances, and electrical work. Over 14 weeks, you'll receive hands-on training and classroom instruction, guided by experienced team members.

Successful completion leads to promotion to Maintenance Technician, with duties ranging from observing and learning to performing tasks and operating light

Qualifications

• General ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends.
• Upon promotion, must be able to work any assigned shift, including weekends; may be on-call after hours.
• A telephone number for after-hours contact must be provided to your manager.

Responsibilities

• Partner with assigned service team members for on the job training.
• Observe, learn, and understand a wide range of maintenance skills and processes.
• Learn to operate light equipment for basic repairs under supervision.
• Demonstrate skills by working independently or with a team as training progresses.
• Perform maintenance tasks to gain hands-on experience and showcase proficiency.
• Learn relevant computer software applications used by the service team.
