Job Overview

M.S. Walker, a fine wine and spirits distributor, is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician & Machine Operator at our Norwood, MA location. The role involves troubleshooting, maintaining, and operating industrial machinery and supporting facility systems.

Shift Details

Third shift: Monday-Thursday 8:00 pm - 6:00 am

Compensation & Benefits

• Sign-On Bonus: $1200 (with structured bonuses at 30, 60 days, and upon union joining)

Responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial machinery and facility support systems
• Collaborate with team to meet business goals
• Repair equipment controls, PLCs, VFDs, and perform preventive maintenance
• Support facility repairs including painting and drywall
• Assist with pneumatic, plumbing, HVAC systems troubleshooting
• Use welding, power tools, and electrical testing equipment for repairs
• Follow safety procedures and perform safety checks
• Learn building management systems and utilize CMMS software
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

• 2+ years industrial maintenance experience, especially in automated manufacturing/distribution
• Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with conveyor systems, forklifts, CMMS, PLCs, and facility support systems
• Valid MA driver’s license and ability to travel between locations
• Ability to work overtime and in various environments

Physical & Work Environment

• Work indoors/outdoors, climb stairs, work on platforms or rooftops
• Lift up to 50 lbs, work in hot/cold weather, extended standing and kneeling
