Job summary
Lactalis USA is seeking a maintenance technician to operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, steam, and related equipment on a 12‑hour rotating night shift. The role requires 1–2 years of electrical/mechanical maintenance experience or a technical trade, plus basic computer skills.
You will participate in safety programs, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a 24/7 facility.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–2 years of electrical and/or mechanical maintenance experience or a technical trade certification.
- Basic computer proficiency.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, steam, and compressed air systems.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Conduct daily ammonia system inspections and rounds.
- Support equipment modifications and technical troubleshooting.
- Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) and Root Cause Analysis activities.
- Perform maintenance during production and downtime.
- Assist maintenance technicians and support training of new employees.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
