Job summary

NYX Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the afternoon shift in Cherry Hill to maintain production equipment and support facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair machinery, and uphold safety and housekeeping standards.

The role requires mechanical aptitude with an Associate Degree or equivalent maintenance experience and a willingness to work overtime as needed. Collaboration with the Maintenance Supervisor and adherence to company procedures are

• Industrial production environment experience preferred.
• Willingness to work overtime on short notice.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Complete all preventive maintenance activities assigned by supervisor.
• Oil, grease and clean all areas as needed through work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair all machinery and equipment as generated by work orders.
• Ensure safety and housekeeping standards are met.
• May be assigned out-sort work, programs, and/or training due to upgrades of job title.

Maintenance Technician - Afternoon shift

Description

Maintains all production equipment, support equipment and building maintenance as directed by supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

1. 1. Complete all preventive maintenance activities assigned by supervisor.
2. 2. Oil, grease and clean all areas as needed through work orders.
3. 3. Troubleshoot and repair all machinery and equipment as generated by work orders.
4. 4. Insure safety and housekeeping standards are met.
5. 5. May be assigned out-sort work, programs, and/or training, due to upgrades of job title as assessed by management team.
6. 6. The following documents will be the responsibility of a maintenance technician for review and/or function.

• Rev B, Equipment Listing.
• Power House- Daily PM Checks.
• Air Compressor- Monthly PM Checks.
• Floor Sweeper- Monthly PM Checks.
• Thermolator- Monthly PM Checks.
• Dryers- Monthly PM Checks.
• IMM Daily and Monthly PM Checks.
• Robots Monthly PM Checks.
• IMM Quarterly PM Checks.
• Floor Scrubber Monthly PM Checks.
• Sprinkler System Quarterly Checks.
• Conveyor Weekly Checks.
• Vacuum Pump Monthly Checks.
• IMM Information.
• Assembly Fixture Verification – Done daily

Work Instructions

7. The following work instructions relate to the function of the forms listed above.

NOTE: All work instructions below are in the maintenance office.

• Completion of Work Orders.
• Equipment Predictive Maintenance Set-up.
• Equipment Maintenance.

1. 8. Complete additional work assigned by supervisor and/or management team.
2. 9. Must have basic knowledge of TS16949 and know the Quality Policy.
3. 10. Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.
4. 11. Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.

Physical Demands:

• Standing – frequently required on concrete floor when repairing equipment
• Walking – sometimes required during repairing or doing maintenance
• Lifting – frequent lifting from floor to waist level
• Reaching – frequently extending arms and hands in front of body and below the waist when repairing machines
• Turning/twisting – required all the time to perform job functions
• Bending/stooping – occasionally required

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Mechanical aptitude, Minimum Associate Degree or equivalent experience in maintenance. Experience in an industrial production environment desired, trouble shooting skills, flexible schedule and willing to work overtime on short notice.

Knowledge of safety in an industrial setting.
