Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency (MDHA) in Nashville, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance operations across multiple properties, ensuring safety, quality and regulatory compliance while delivering excellent service to residents.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems; managing preventive maintenance in Yardi; handling work orders and after-hours calls; and assisting with HUD Inspire

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade certification or degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in property, apartment, or public housing maintenance, including advanced troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and building codes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Proficiency with digital work order tracking systems.
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing ladders, and working in varying environmental conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance systems across multiple properties.
• Manage and document preventive maintenance schedules and work orders using Yardi.
• Ensure timely responses to work orders, tenant emergencies, and make-ready assignments for vacant units.
• Complete and close out all work orders.
• Respond to and work the after-hours work scheduled when assigned.
• Complete regular inspections and assist in preparation for HUD Inspire inspections.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service.
