Assist with installation and maintenance of both manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This will include a variety of basic disciplines; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating and ventilation, carpentry, grounds, etc. This position will also maintain buildings and grounds in a clean and acceptable manner.

Maintenance Tech A: requires 5 or more years of experience in Maintenance.

Maintenance Tech B: requires 1 to 5 years of experience in Maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• The ability to assist with the installation and maintenance of facility systems; mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilation, carpentry, grounds, welding, etc.
• Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean and acceptable manner.
• Detect and report faulty operations, materials and working conditions to supervisor.
• Adhere to the company’s health and safety guidelines and policies - inclusive of using all PPE as mandated.
• Maintain work area, equipment and tools in a clean and orderly manner.
• Utilize and promote 5S tools and practices to sustain a high standard of cleanliness and safety both in the shop and throughout the facility.
• Cross-train as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic math skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to operate forklift and material handling equipment.
• Ability to comply with company procedures for storage, handling and shipment of hazardous waste to act in accordance with government regulations.
• Training will be included upon assignment to such duties.
• Basic welding skills.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• General working knowledge of all aspects of industrial maintenance.
• Mechanical and construction aptitude.
• Willingness to work any shift as needed to meet maintenance and project needs.
• Willingness to work mandatory overtime due to inclement weather and clean up.
• Will need to provide own tools. Replacement tools will be provided by company if personal tools are damaged on the job.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Physical fitness to perform all job functions of the designated work area. This includes hand / power tool use, standing, full arm and leg range of motion, bending, lifting, walking, crouching, kneeling, working in awkward positions, talking and hearing.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
