JOB SUMMARY

Assist with the installation and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facility systems across various disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating and ventilation, carpentry, and groundskeeping. Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean and acceptable condition.

Maintenance Tech A: requires 5 or more years of maintenance experience.

Maintenance Tech B: requires 1 to 5 years of maintenance experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. Assist with installation and maintenance of facility systems: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, heating and ventilation, carpentry, grounds, welding, etc.
2. Maintain buildings and grounds in a clean and acceptable manner.
3. Detect and report faulty operations, materials, and working conditions to the supervisor.
4. Follow health and safety guidelines and policies, including the use of PPE.
5. Keep work area, equipment, and tools clean and organized.
6. Promote and utilize 5S practices to ensure cleanliness and safety.
7. Cross-train as assigned.
8. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

1. Basic math skills and the ability to follow instructions.
2. Operate forklift and material handling equipment.
3. Comply with regulations for hazardous waste storage, handling, and shipment; training provided.
4. Basic welding skills.
5. Valid driver’s license.
6. Knowledge of industrial maintenance.
7. Mechanical and construction aptitude.
8. Willing to work any shift and mandatory overtime as needed.
9. Provide own tools; replacement tools available if damaged.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

1. Physical fitness to perform all job functions, including tool use, standing, bending, lifting, and working in various positions.
2. Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 70 pounds.
3. Vision requirements include close, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
