Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician A to perform highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production/processing equipment and overall facility operation in Lake Park, Georgia. The candidate should work with minimal supervision, mentor junior techs, and contribute to one of the world’s largest carrot and organic vegetable operations.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of proven experience in high-level maintenance environments.
• Ability to weld/solder various metals with skill and efficiency.
• Skilled in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of production/processing machines.
• Proficient with hand and power tools, electronic meters, material handling equipment, and diagnostic tools.
• Ability to dismantle devices to remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, and tools.
• Capable of reading calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of plumbing and carpentry functions.
• Ability to fabricate repair parts using machine shop instrumentation.
• Adaptable to new technology related to production equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production/processing equipment and facilities.
• Operate unsupervised and provide direction to others; train and develop junior techs.
• Collaborate with team to ensure reliable equipment performance and safety.

At this level, the individual should be able to operate unsupervised, give direction, train and develop lower-level maintenance techs. What you will need:

• 7 to 10 years of proven experience in high level maintenance environments.
• Must be able to weld/solder various types of medals with a high degree of skill and efficiency.
• Must be skilled in all manner of machine/equipment operation, to include mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production/processing machines.
• Skilled at a variety of hand and power tools, electronic meters, material handling equipment, diagnostic tools, etc.
• Ability to remove defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes and hand/power tools.
• Skilled at examining form and texture of parts with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of general plumbing and carpentry functions.
• Ability to fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
• Able to utilize various hardware/software formats not only for day-to-day operation, but also able to gain a quick understanding of technology as it pertains to production and processing equipment.
• Skilled in operating in a collaborative manner with a team attitude, while executing sound judgement and professionalism with operations.
• Must have the ability to be flexible and operate under stressful situations to focus on overall goals and objectives.
• Able to maintain Grimmway Farms confidential and proprietary information and operate with the highest ethics and integrity at all times.
• Must be able to travel occasionally.
• Remote work is not available for this position.
• Must be able to read and understand written information in English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.
