MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN B

LOCATION: LAKE PARK- GEORGIA

SHIFT: DAY

About the Opportunity:

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician B skilled at general maintenance with little need for training or direct supervision for most machine and processing equipment. The level of ability falls in between a Tech A, which is highly skilled, and a Tech C which is considered to have entry level maintenance skills. This position is capable of handling most machinery and repair requirements, can perform mid-tier troubleshooting, and has some ability to weld, utilize most tools, meters, etc. Whether you are a current GPG team member looking to grow your career or a professional seeking a rewarding opportunity in agriculture, this position offers the chance to contribute to one of the world’s largest carrot and organic vegetable grower, packer, and shippers. What you will need:

• 5 years of experience in a production/processing environment.
• Must have at minimum an entry level of welding/soldering knowledge and ability.
• Must be skilled in all manner of machine/equipment operation with an understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic utilization.
• Skilled at a variety of hand and power tools, meters, and material handling equipment.
• Ability to remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, and hand/power tools.
• Able to determine form, texture and wear and tear of most parts with calipers, micrometers and other measuring instruments.
• Should have a working knowledge of plumbing and carpentry functions.
• Able to utilize various hardware/software formats not only for day-to-day operation, but also able to gain an understanding of technology as it pertains to production and processing equipment.
• Must have a collaborative and team-oriented attitude with an understanding and self- assessment knowledge of when to ask for help and/or direction.
• Ability to be flexible and operate under stressful situation while keeping a cool head and focus on overall goals and objectives.
• Must operate in an ethical manner with high integrity at all-times.
• Able to maintain Grimmway Farms confidential and proprietary information.
• Must be able to travel occasionally.
• Remote work is not available for this position.
• Must be able to read and understand written information in English.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company policy, insurance, and DMV requirements.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre-employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.
