EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

LOCATION: LAKE PARK, GA.

SHIFT: DAY

Grimmway Produce Group is seeking an Equipment Mechanic to perform highly diversified duties troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining a wide variety of vehicles and farm machinery/equipment. Due to the variety of equipment this position must possess a strong mechanical aptitude and a strong understanding of most all equipment/machinery.

What you will need:

• Five to seven years of mechanic experience.
• Skilled in all manner of machine/equipment repair, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to perform preventative and routine maintenance or learn quickly for a wide variety of machinery or equipment.
• Able to drain and replace fluids, grease parts, and adjust/replace parts such as starters, batteries, etc. Though major rebuilds of engines and transmissions are generally handled by outside third-party providers, this position must diagnose and recommend what is needed.
• Skilled at a variety of hand and power tools, meters, diagnostic tools, etc.
• Ability to remove defective parts by dismantling equipment/machinery using hoists, cranes and hand/power tools.
• Skilled at examining the form and texture of parts to determine wear.
• Skilled in operating in a collaborative manner with a team attitude, while executing sound judgement and professionalism with farm managers and various farm personnel.
• Possession of many of their own tools, as many specialized and common tools are supplied.
• Ability to be flexible and operate under stressful situations, having initiative and being results driven to prevent downtime for the agriculture team.
• Remote work not available for this position.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record that meets company insurance and DMV requirements.
• Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a pre‑employment screening consistent with applicable state and federal law.
