Job summary

AWI Management Corp. in Manteca, CA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to help maintain a 35-unit apartment community. The role involves ensuring a safe, well-maintained environment for residents and addressing work orders and preventative maintenance tasks.

Ideal candidates will have general building maintenance experience, landscaping skills, and familiarity with subsidized housing programs (HUD/LIHTC/RD). This is a full-time, on-site position with a Monday–Friday schedule.

Responsibilities

• Completing maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
• Performing general maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Assisting with preventative maintenance to ensure building systems remain in good working condition.
• Maintaining the grounds and landscaping to support strong curb appeal.
• Assisting with annual apartment inspections and identifying maintenance needs.
• Working with the Property Manager to coordinate vendors and order supplies.
• Maintaining positive relationships with residents, vendors, and staff.
• Reporting lease or house rule violations when observed.
• Responding appropriately to emergency maintenance situations.
• Following company policies and procedures.
