Now Hiring: Maintenance Technician – Build More Than Buildings-Build Futures.Glenmont Job Corps Center, operated by Adams and Associates, seeks a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities and Maintenance Team. In this role you will help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where young adults can learn, grow, and prepare for successful careers. Schedule: Full‑time, Monday‑Friday 8:00AM – 5:00PM.
What You’ll Do
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and facility systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders accurately.
- Inspect building systems to ensure they operate safely and efficiently.
- Research and recommend replacement equipment when needed.
- Assist with oversight of contractors performing repairs or equipment installations.
- Support and mentor students participating in work‑based learning opportunities.
- Maintain the appearance and functionality of campus buildings and grounds.
- Provide student transportation when needed.
- Plan and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines while delivering quality workmanship.
- Collaborate with staff across departments to provide an outstanding experience for students.
- Serve as a positive role model by demonstrating professionalism, accountability, and respect.
- Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive campus environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent REQUIRED. Advanced degrees preferred. Minimum one‑year experience in building maintenance required. Technical certificate preferred.
- Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC systems, boilers and other building systems preferred.
- Must possess a valid in‑State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements.
- Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40pounds and/or assess the lift load to request necessary assistance.
