Job summary

Adams and Associates, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the Center's facilities. This role includes supervising staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining the functional integrity of the premises.

Candidates must have a minimum of five years of facility maintenance experience, a high school diploma, and strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC and plumbing. An associate degree is preferred, along with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

Job description

The Experienced Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and conducting repairs to ensure the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of the Center's facilities, grounds, and building systems. This role supports overall facility integrity, safety compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventative maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and facility systems.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to carpentry, plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, boilers, and general building systems.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with applicable local, state, and federal building codes and safety regulations.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the Center's grounds and facilities.
• Assist in monitoring facility operations and reporting maintenance needs or safety concerns promptly.
• Supervise maintenance staff in the absence of the Facility Manager or Maintenance Supervisor.
• Provide guidance, oversight, and on-the-job training to Job Corps Work-Based Learning students assigned to the maintenance department.
• Support inventory control and proper use of tools, equipment, and materials.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree from an accredited institution preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in building or facility maintenance required.
• Working knowledge of:
  • Carpentry
  • Plumbing systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC)
  • Boilers and other building systems
  • Applicable building codes and safety standards
• Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
