The Andersons, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to keep grain elevator production equipment running safely and efficiently.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform emergency repairs, and support reliability and uptime on complex machinery. Responsibilities include interpreting manuals and schematics, performing preventive maintenance, and using maintenance systems while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate’s Degree preferred.
• 1-3 years’ relevant maintenance experience required.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and overhaul production machines and facility equipment.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and/or mobile equipment and perform scheduled maintenance repairs.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Maintain computerized preventive maintenance system.
• Maintain current safety policies and standards and work safely.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician II role plays a critical part in keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems at our Grain Elevator locations. This hands-on position offers the opportunity to diagnose complex equipment issues, perform emergency repairs, and contribute directly to operational success. Technicians work with advanced production equipment, interpret technical drawings and manuals, and utilize computerized maintenance systems to support reliability and uptime. A strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement is essential in this highly skilled maintenance role. This role is perfect for a hands-on Industrial Maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, solving mechanical and electrical challenges, and making a direct impact on location reliability, safety, and production performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain and overhaul production machines and facility equipment
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and/or mobile equipment and vehicles, and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during service.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities
• Maintain computerized preventative maintenance system
• Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all safety policies and standards related to position.
• Work in a safe manner and recognize unsafe situations, take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others in building

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
