Job summary

The Andersons, Inc., a North American leader in agribusiness and renewables, seeks a skilled maintenance professional to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and mobile equipment across our facilities.   • Must have hands-on maintenance experience on production equipment.
  • Ability to read manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Comfort working with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain and overhaul production machines and facility equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and mobile equipment.
  • Perform diagnostics, replace parts, and test adjustments to ensure equipment reliability.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance and manage records in the CMMS.
  • Maintain safety standards and document issues per SOPs.

Position Overview

Join a team where your maintenance expertise directly impacts safe, efficient operations. In this hands-on role, you’ll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a variety of production and mobile equipment, utilizing your mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic skills to keep operations running smoothly. You’ll perform both preventive and emergency maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and work with maintenance management systems to support reliability and performance. Key Responsibilities


  • Install, maintain and overhaul production machines and facility equipment

  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment and/or mobile equipment and vehicles, and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during service.

  • Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

  • Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Maintain computerized preventative maintenance system

  • Maintain current and in-depth knowledge of all safety policies and standards related to position. Work in a safe manner and recognize unsafe situations, take appropriate action to ensure safety of self and others in building.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills


  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, Associate’s Degree preferred

  • 1-3 years’ relevant experience required


Physical Requirements and Working Environment


  • Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time

  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 60 pounds

  • Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 100 feet

  • Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures

  • Working conditions could include: dust, fumes, moderate noise and uneven surfaces
