Schwarz Partners Packaging Miami in Hialeah, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 3rd shift to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on corrugated equipment. You will read schematics, diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, and support safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have 3–5+ years in industrial maintenance, experience with AC/DC motor control, PLCs, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and strong teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in electrical and mechanical industrial maintenance.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
• Experience with PLCs and motor control.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and electrical troubleshooting to minimize downtime and complete PMs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems on plant machinery.
• Ensure preventive maintenance of corrugating equipment to meet operational requirements.
• Follow safety policies and complete required safety training monthly.
• Work from drawings/specifications to complete tasks on time and minimize waste.
• Assist supervisor with additional maintenance duties as needed.

Job Description

SPP Miami, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners and corrugated manufacturing industry leader, currently has an exciting opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician (3rd shift) inHialeah, FL. As a Maintenance Technician, you will troubleshoot, install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on our industrial corrugated equipment and machinery.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION:

• Perform maintenance and electrical function and troubleshoot to correct inefficiencies and prevent equipment downtime by completing regular PM’s.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical problems of plant machinery.
• Ensure the maintenance and preventive maintenance of corrugating plant process equipment to achieve world-class results; ensure all equipment is running properly and meets operational requirements.
• Follow all safety and company policies, reporting any issues, accidents or incidents immediately; must complete online safety training each month as assigned.
• Work within specifications and drawings, responsible for ensuring completion, and minimizing waste within set dates & times.
• Other corrective and preventive maintenance duties to be assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

SPP MIAMI REQUIRES THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Detail-oriented, organized and dependable with time management skills.
• 3 - 5+ years’ experience with Electrical and Mechanical Systems, computers in an industrial environment including hardware, software & network configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot various pneumatic, hydraulic systems, working knowledge of PLC’s and motors.
• Knowledge of computer and automated machines.
• Strong maintenance electrical background (manufacturing preferred) in AC/DC motor control, troubleshooting, and electrical wiring codes.
• Excellent people skills and communication, both verbal and written.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong work ethic with an emphasis on safety.
• Computer competence and experience with the Microsoft suite.
• An energetic, motivated, and dependable worker who is dedicated to the job and team.
• The ability to function as a mature, professional individual, who interacts positively with teammates.
• The willingness to function effectively in a team environment and tackle any task required for the success of the team.
• High school diploma or GED.
