Job summary

OPmobility in Smyrna, TN seeks a 3rd Shift Maintenance / Process Technician to maintain product quality by performing preventative maintenance and upkeep on production and facilities equipment. The role acts as a troubleshooter to keep machines running efficiently.

Responsibilities include equipment setup, installation assistance, PMs, tool changes, SMED/TPM, and adherence to LOTO and safety rules. Must pass training and work with minimal supervision in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma.
• 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Experience with plastics work and/or blow molding is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment and ensure compliance with machinery safeguards and procedures.
• Assist with installation of site equipment and implementation of best practice systems; troubleshoot PLC/electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic issues.
• Perform PM levels 1–3 and maintain maintenance logs.
• Handle tool changes; execute SMED and TPM activities; perform and document work orders.
• Adhere to LOTO protocols; participate in continuous improvement and corrective actions; stop production if quality or safety issues arise.
• Walk, stand, climb, bend, reach; lift up to 50 lbs; operate under varying temperatures.

Job description

The 3rd Shift Maintenance / Process Technician is responsible for maintaining the quality of the product run by providing safe and timely preventative maintenance and upkeep on production and facilities equipment. This role serves as troubleshooter to keep machines in running order.

Responsibility 1:

• Equipment Setup
• Ensure compliance to machinery safeguards and procedures
• Must comply with all safety rules and regulations

Responsibility 2:

• Assist with installation of all equipment of the site
• Assist with implementation of best practice systems for site Activity 2.3
• Troubleshoot and repair plant electrical/hydraulics/pneumatics and electronic (PLC) issues

Responsibility 3:

• Safe use of all tools, welders, electrical wiring
• Perform PM Levels 1, 2, & 3 and maintain maintenance logbooks

Responsibility 4:

• Tool Change Activities & Documentation
• SMED and TPM Activities
• Perform Work Orders assigned

Responsibility 5:

• LOTO (Lock/out; Tag/out) expertise
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
• Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises
• Must successfully complete all required training
• Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures.

• Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises
• Work requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping,

crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing
