TI Automotive in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair equipment used in the automotive manufacturing process to ensure smooth production.

You will follow safety rules, use CMMS for work orders, inspect fixtures, organize spare parts, and support continuous equipment reliability in a fast-paced plant environment.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of industrial maintenance experience in automotive manufacturing.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and equipment safety procedures.
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical prints.

Responsibilities

  • Must understand importance of quality requirements by maintaining, adjusting, and repairing manufacturing equipment in a timely manner when necessary to meet customer needs.
  • Must adhere to relevant system work instructions, processes, and procedures.
  • Correct mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, etc., problems and report concerns to Maintenance Supervisor and/or Dept. Manager.
  • Maintain, inspect, repair and/or adjust trim fixtures, assembly fixtures, support equipment, etc., when necessary to ensure employee safety and product quality.
  • Advise group leader and/or department manager when spare parts are used for repairs.
  • Possibly create and generate requisitions if required. Organize spare parts if necessary.
  • Follow lockout/tagout procedures as well as safety rules 100% of the time.
  • Use CMMS software to communicate Work Orders and document use of spare parts.
  • Perform timely Preventative Maintenance on assigned fixtures and machinery.
  • Carry and enforce TI Automotive Technologies workplace safety guidelines and health and safety statement.

Job Summary

A manufacturing maintenance technician is responsible for performing regular preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment used in manufacturing process to ensure the successful execution of production activities.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • 2-3 years' experience of industrial maintenance in the automotive industry
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods, tools, common appliances and devices
  • Knowledge of parametric and industrial control systems.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and regulations.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Plastic injection and blow molding machinery preferred
