Job summary

Hendrickson is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maximize uptime and improve reliability across plant equipment. You will perform PMs, troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and program-level issues, and assist with installation and start-up of new equipment.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in maintenance, hands-on with electrical systems, PLCs (Allen Bradley), machining and welding, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. Flexibility for shifts and overtime is required.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of dedicated maintenance experience.
  • 5 years experience with single and three phase electrical systems.
  • 2 years experience with PLCs, preferably Allen Bradley.
  • Machining knowledge and welding capabilities required.
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, fluid power, mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Proficient with reading blueprints & diagrams, electrical & hydraulic schematics, equipment manuals & work procedures.
  • Familiar with CNC controls, preferably Siemens or Fanuc.
  • Familiar with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC and other state/local requirements.
  • Robotic knowledge is a plus.
  • Proficient with PCs and Microsoft-Office applications.
  • Ability to work different shifts and holidays; overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safe work practices and support safety, quality, and productivity objectives.
  • Complete periodical and incidental machine maintenance per PM schedules.
  • Plan and implement corrective actions with management direction.
  • Comply with safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain building, equipment, and grounds in clean and orderly manner.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment, buildings, and grounds to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in quotation, purchase, and inventory management of maintenance supplies.
  • Utilize tools and software to manage daily tasks and PM/CM activities.
  • Support engineering and other department projects.

Essential Functions
  • Follow safe work practice and support safety, quality, and productivity objectives
  • Complete periodical and incidental machine maintenance in an accurate and timely manner. Perform task as outlined on preventative maintenance schedules of equipment manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Plan and implement corrective action in conjunction with management direction.
  • Comply with all safety standards and regulations.
  • Maintain building, equipment, and grounds in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs on equipment, building, grounds issues and implement correct remedy to minimize downtime
  • Assist in the quotation, purchase, and proper inventory management of maintenance supplies and equipment parts as required or directed.
  • Utilizes designated tools and software to manage daily task and complete assigned preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance
  • Support engineering and other department projects
Education and Training
  • Associates degree in industrial maintenance or other related technical field preferred
Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of dedicated maintenance experience
  • 5 years experience with single and three phase electrical system
  • 2 years experience with PLCs, preferably Allen Bradley
  • Machining knowledge and welding capabilities required
  • Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, fluid power, mechanical and plumbing systems.

  • Familiar with applicable regulatory requirements outlined by OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC and other state/local organizations.
  • Robotic knowledge is a plus
  • Proficient with PCs and Microsoft-Office applications
  • Ability to work different shifts and holidays to support production and other engineering/maintenance projects
  • Position requires working overtime when necessary
