Garelick Farms, part of the Dairy Farmers of America, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift with a rotating schedule. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and utility equipment, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and support installation and startup of new lines.
The role requires 2–4 years of maintenance experience, strong reading of schematics, and the ability to work with limited supervision while mentoring newer staff.

3rd Shift - Rotating Schedule: Sunday - Saturday - 11:00PM - 7:30AM, with 2 Days off a Week
$1.50/hr. Shift Differential (2nd & 3rd Shift)
External Candidate ~$1,500.00 sign-on bonus
Demonstrate proficiency in maintenance and mechanical activities to ensure equipment operates safely, effectively, and efficiently. Perform general, preventive, and corrective maintenance, including troubleshooting, repair, modification, fabrication, welding, and overhauls of mechanical and electrical systems. Work with limited supervision, receiving guidance on complex or new assignments, and serve as a technical resource for less experienced employees.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

High school diploma or equivalent required
Trade or technical school training preferred (electrical, PLC/HMI, mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.)
2-4 years of maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, PLC, HVAC), preferably in manufacturing
Experience with industrial equipment including material handling, motor/relay/process controls, lubrication, cleaning, and packaging systems
Ammonia refrigeration experience preferred
Required certifications and/or licenses must be obtained as a condition of employment
Ability to read and interpret charts, drawings, specifications, schedules, and wiring diagrams
Ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment to prevent failures and downtime
Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment
Ability to work independently and assist with complex repairs and projects
Ability to plan and complete minor to mid-sized projects
Ability to identify process improvements and adapt to change
Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team environment
Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
Ability to perform basic math (whole numbers, fractions, decimals)
Basic computer skills
Ability to read, write, and speak English
