Job summary

Kwik Trip, Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and troubleshoot automated process systems and support equipment on our Wisconsin campus. You will perform preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and help ensure day-to-day productivity and safe operations.

The role requires reading schematics, working with Allen-Bradley PLCs, and coordinating with operators and vendors. A strong mechanical and electrical background, teamwork, and good communication are essential to meet

Kwik Trip, Inc.’s Maintenance department is looking for well-rounded Maintenance Technicians.

Job Description:

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting a variety of modern automated process systems and support equipment on our Deforest WI campus.

Regular tasks include:

• Perform preventative maintenance procedures.
• Communicate with operators and management team.
• Ensure day to day productivity and operational efficiencies are achieved.
• Perform emergency maintenance as required.
• Coordinate with vendors for necessary repairs.
• Inspect facilities and equipment on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

• Automation experience and/or training is a plus.
• Experience working with Allen-Bradley PLC’s and supporting control devices.
• Strong industrial electronic and mechanical background
• Ability to work well alone and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
• Accurate and detail oriented
• Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects/tasks.
• Ability to support and meet department deadlines.
• Possess good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics and manuals.
• Good working knowledge of hand and power tools
• Welding experience is a plus.
• All candidates must be able to work safely and within food safety and regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of standard maintenance concepts, practices and procedures is a plus.

Physical qualifications:

stand/walk for up to 10 hours per shift; bend/reach/twist and stoop/kneel/crouch frequently; lift/carry 50 pounds frequently; lift/carry up to 80 pounds occasionally.
