Job summary

HYDAC, a family-owned manufacturing company, is seeking a Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift) to analyze problems, perform corrections, and keep production running efficiently across our plant. You will handle light electrical work, minor forklift maintenance, and repair a wide range of automated and manual equipment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Technical training in electrical or related fields preferred.
• 1–3 years of facilities/maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Basic mathematics; algebra; trig/geometry preferred.
• 2 years’ experience with PC/Windows operation.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.
• Industrial electricity, PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, ultrasonic welding, machine tools.
• Strong reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Able to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing in English to coworkers.
• Adhere to safety rules and PPE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Analyze mechanical and operational problems on equipment and plan corrective actions.

As a Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift), you will:

• Analyze mechanical and operational problems on equipment and plans for and takes corrective action. You will make necessary corrections and running adjustments to maintain maximum production and quality.
• Complete light electrical work and minor forklift maintenance.
• Provide repair and maintenance of a wide variety of automated, semi-automated, and manual production equipment.
• Support process improvement, quality improvement, and safety efforts.

You will make an impact in this role by:

• Work with the Production, Engineering, and R&D on product/process development.
• Update and maintain any existing maintenance software.
• Troubleshoot and repair all production equipment malfunctions and recommend changes to increase equipment reliability.

Requirements

To be considered for the Maintenance Technician (3rd Shift) role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:

• A High School or GED diploma is required.
• Technical training in technical fields including electrical, etc. preferred.
• 1-3 years of facilities/maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Preferred basic mathematics and algebra required. College level algebra, trigonometry, and/or geometry preferred.
• 2 years’ experience basic PC/Windows operation required.
• Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, etc.
• Industrial electricity, programmable logic controllers, pneumatics, hydraulics, ultrasonic welding, machine tool.
• Must have excellent reason and decision-making skills.
• Must be able to understand written and verbal instruction in English.
• Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English to coworkers.
• Safety and Personal Protective Equipment: Must adhere to all safety rules in force for the location you are in while performing your job responsibilities. This includes at a customer or supplier location. Must meet requirements for PPE in specific manufacturing areas when you are in those areas including safety shoes and safety glasses.
