Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and assets used in beef processing. The role involves working with hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyors, welding, and pneumatic systems to keep production running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of mechanic work experience, or graduation from an industrial maintenance training program.
• Ability to read and write; ability to complete on-the-job paperwork and communicate across all management levels.
• Ability to read labels, numbers, and instructions, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment and company assets in Beef processing.
• Work with hydraulics, electrical, plumbing, conveyors, 3-phase wiring, AC/DC control wiring, welding, and pneumatic systems.
• Set up, adjust, and break down production machinery; perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Complete daily reports and paperwork.
• Work environments are wet and humid with temperatures ranging from 35 to 90+ degrees.
• Perform physical duties including climbing ladders, working from elevated platforms, standing, walking on hard floors and occasionally lifting up to 60 lbs; overtime on Sundays.
