Job summary

Leadpoint Business Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Mesa/Scottsdale, AZ site. You will repair and maintain recycling equipment, heavy machinery, and light trucks to maximize safe and productive operations.

Typical tasks include hydraulic, electrical, and conveyor system maintenance, with a 2nd shift schedule from 1pm to 11:30pm, $22.00/hr, full-time plus overtime, and a strong benefits package. Bilingual Spanish is required and a valid driver’s license is needed.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in building maintenance, HVAC, odor systems, and negative pressure systems.
• 3+ years on equipment in manufacturing or distribution settings preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish required; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical problems using charts, diagnostic software and manuals.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment, heavy machinery, and light trucks.
• Replace parts as directed by work orders and record field service activity.
• Overhaul or replace machine components and worn items.
• Communicate with supervisor or operators for problem clarifications; apply preventative techniques.
• Independently troubleshoot and maintain complex electro-mechanical equipment.
• Record hours, fuel and oil usage in Fleet Management Software.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to schedule.
• May maintain, repair, and install plumbing, electrical, HVAC, odor and negative pressure systems.

Leadpoint Business Services is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for our site in Mesa/Scottsdale, AZ. This role performs repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment, compact heavy equipment and light trucks to maximize safe and productive operations. Typical repairs include, but are not limited to, routine maintenance and repair of hydraulic systems, recycling equipment (sorting screens, optical sorters, magnets, eddy currents, etc), electrical systems, balers, conveyor systems and compactors.

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician Job

• Diagnose mechanical problems using charts, diagnostic software, technical manuals and expertise
• Perform repairs and maintenance on recycling equipment, compact heavy equipment and light trucks to maximize safe and productive operations.
• Repairs or replaces parts as directed by a work order system and completing field service reported in a work order system
• Overhauls or replaces machine components and replace worn items
• Communicate with supervisor and/or equipment operators for clarifications of problems- may use preventative techniques with equipment users to minimize future repairs
• Independently troubleshoot and maintain complex electro-mechanical equipment
• Completes daily consumable report to record hours, fuel and oil usage and provide information for input into the Fleet Management Software system
• Perform preventive maintenance according to standard scheduled
• May maintain, repair and install plumbing, electrical, HVAC, odor systems, and negative pressure systems

Requirements of the Maintenance Technician Job

• Minimum of 1 year experience with building maintenance, HVAC, odor systems and negative pressure systems
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working on equipment in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
• Working knowledge of Tier 4 emission systems preferred
• Valid driver’s license
• Bilingual in Spanish required
