Job summary

Fanatics Commerce is seeking a Maintenance Technician to sustain conveyor systems and facility assets in a fulfillment environment at our Waxahachie, TX site. You will perform preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting with PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, and I/O devices.

Emphasis on safety and data-driven decision making supports continuous fan-order fulfillment. Collaborate with operations to maintain reliability, meet peak demands, and optimize maintenance

Qualifications

  • Experience in industrial maintenance and supporting conveyor or material handling systems.
  • Ability to interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, soft starts, servo drives, and external I/O devices.
  • Preventive maintenance programs and disciplined execution of scheduled maintenance.
  • Proficient with diagnostic tools including multi-meters and laptops; CMMS experience.
  • MS Office proficiency for documentation and work orders.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours and operate independently when needed.

ROLE OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, corrective repairs, and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on conveyor systems, material handling equipment, and facility assets in a fulfillment or distribution environment. This role requires hands-on proficiency with PLCs, VFDs, servo drives, and technical drawings, combined with a commitment to safety standards and operating procedures. The Maintenance Technician delivers business and fan impact through BOLD leadership and execution excellence, leveraging data, automation, and AI-enabled insights.

  • Communicate equipment issues and repair status clearly and proactively to fellow maintenance team members and the operational team to minimize downtime and keep fulfillment operations running.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to prioritize and complete additional tasks and requests, ensuring alignment with broader facility goals.
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations staff to maintain a safe, productive work environment by consistently modeling and reinforcing safety procedures and guidelines.

  • Maintain the reliability of conveyor and material handling systems that directly support the timely fulfillment and delivery of fan orders.
  • Perform corrective repairs and preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures that could delay fan-facing operations.
  • Uphold facility asset performance standards that enable the site to meet fulfillment volume demands during peak fan-driven events and seasons.
  • Support a safe and compliant work environment that protects the team members who pick, pack, and ship fan merchandise every day.

  • Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical problems using blueprints, electrical and mechanical schematics, multi-meters, and laptop-based diagnostic tools to identify root causes efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues on PLC-controlled equipment, VFDs, soft starts, servo drives, and I/O devices, applying structured problem-solving to reduce repeat failures.
  • Learn and utilize CMMS platforms, graphical interfaces, and other applicable software to log work orders, track asset history, and improve maintenance planning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve preventive maintenance schedules and repair procedures based on equipment performance data and observed failure patterns.

Ownership & Execution (Determined & Relentless Mindset)

  • Complete work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and corrective repairs accurately and on time, adhering to all department and company standards and operating procedures.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, including on the building exterior and in non-climate-controlled environments, while safely operating ladders and aerial lifts at height.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) and manufacturing equipment, demonstrating ownership of the full scope of facility assets.
  • Maintain the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, perform sustained standing, walking, bending, stooping, and hand use, and adapt schedule flexibility to support operational needs.

CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE YOU BRING

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience in industrial maintenance, with preferred background supporting conveyor systems, manufacturing systems, and material handling equipment in a fulfillment, distribution, or manufacturing facility.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, VFDs, soft starts, servo drives, and external I/O devices.
  • Proficiency with preventive maintenance programs and the discipline to execute scheduled maintenance consistently and thoroughly.
  • Ability to operate diagnostic tools including multi-meters and laptops, and to learn and utilize CMMS systems and other applicable software platforms.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to complete accurate written and computer-based work orders and documentation.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, follow oral and written instructions, and operate independently in the absence of direct supervision.

Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
