Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods Distribution Center in Waverly Township, PA is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (Tue-Fri 5:30p-3:30a). The role requires hands-on repair of conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics and related facility equipment, with a focus on safety and PM compliance.

You'll troubleshoot, document work in the asset management system, train junior technicians, and coordinate with outside vendors to complete DC projects safely and on time.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in mechanical/electrical field.
• 3–5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Welding, burning and cutting experience.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes and PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific software and equipment (Crown PM, Gage).
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Strong safety awareness and LOTO experience.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Report spare parts levels and daily usage to leadership.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
