Job summary

The Distribution Center in Town of Conklin, NY, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair facility equipment, including conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics and pneumatics. This role requires hands-on troubleshooting, adherence to safety standards and the ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.

Shift: 2B 5:30p–3:30a. Compensation includes $29.55/hr base plus $1/hr shift differential. Target pay range is $29.55–$42.90 per hour, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or 2-year vocational technical certificate or degree in mechanical or electrical area
• 3-5 years of experience
• Welding, burning, cutting
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes & PLC controls
• Familiar with DC-specific software (Crown PM, Gage) & equipment
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics
• Good safety awareness
• Able to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs
• Experience with LOTO

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all facility equipment and conveyance systems; follow PM standards and document work in asset management system.
• Report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Train junior technicians to elevate performance.
• Work with outside vendors to complete projects safely and timely.
• Take on other duties to support the DC and its operations.

OVERVIEW

Shift: 2B: Tuesday - Friday 5:30p - 3:30a

Rate: $29.55/hr. + $1/hr. shift dif

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhere to all safety requirements including OSHA standards with regards to LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems within the facility. Follow PM standards and document work performed for accurate record keeping in our asset management system. Areas of expertise must include PLC’s, conveyors, 3 phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing, and any other related equipment.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership to help ensure spare parts inventory is maintained.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians in order to elevate their performance level while troubleshooting and repairing any related assets.
• Work closely with outside vendors in order to complete projects within the DCs in a safe and timely manor.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and it’s operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Associate's Degree - 2 year vocational technical certificate or degree preferably in a mechanical or electrical application.
• 3-5 years of experience.

• Familiar with DC-specific specialized software packages (ex. Crown PM, Gage) & equipment.
• Able to read & understand electrical mechanical building type drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Targeted Pay Range: $29.55 - $42.90. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, experience and position offered.
