Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support installation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. The role focuses on maintaining production uptime by diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues and ensuring a safe, sanitary work environment.

The ideal candidate has experience in a manufacturing setting, strong troubleshooting skills, and flexibility to support equipment across the facility, including 480V

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on maintenance in manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with electrical maintenance, including 480V 3-phase.
• Comfortable with 2nd shift hours (2:30pm–11:30pm).
• Exposure to fabrication, welding, and soldering.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Work safely with AC/DC electrical systems up to 480V 3-phase.
• Read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and basic blueprints.
• Support equipment with VFDs and PLCs; respond to maintenance calls promptly.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep operations efficient.
• Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs and projects.
• Maintain inventory of replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and food manufacturing standards.
• Complete other maintenance duties and projects as assigned.

Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support the installation, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facility systems. This role is responsible for maintaining production uptime by diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues, performing scheduled maintenance, and ensuring a safe, sanitary, and efficient work environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing environment, strong troubleshooting skills, and the flexibility to support a variety of equipment throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and facility systems.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
• Work safely with AC/DC electrical systems, including up to 480V 3-phase power.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and basic blueprints.
• Support equipment utilizing Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Respond promptly to maintenance calls and minimize equipment downtime.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with external contractors as needed for specialized repairs and projects.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of replacement parts and maintenance supplies.
• Follow all safety, quality, sanitation, and food manufacturing standards.
• Complete additional maintenance duties and projects as assigned.

SHIFT

2:30pm - 11:30pm/close. Monday - Friday. Close will be around 11:30pm but could be a little earlier or later some days.

Skills and Requirements

• Mechanical aptitude and able to troubleshoot and diagnose problems.
• 2+ years of experience in a hands on mechanical, maintenance type role.
• Has toolbox such as screwdriver, wrench / small hand tools.
• Comfortable working 2nd shift hours (2:30pm - 11:30pm/close)
• Experience in food manufacturing
• Exposure to fabrication/welding/soldering
• Experienced with electrical maintenance, 480V 3-phase
