Job summary

tesa is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift in our New Jersey plant. You will train on 1st shift for 3-6 months before moving to 2nd shift (3pm – 11pm) and ensure equipment runs smoothly through preventive maintenance and rapid repairs.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, reads blueprints, and can fabricate with common shop tools. Join us to support a leader in adhesive solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; skilled trades preferred.
• 5+ years experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance in manufacturing.
• Ability to read blue prints, wiring diagrams and pneumatic diagrams.
• Fabrication experience with saws, drills, mills, lathes and welding.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain adhesive preparation, coating and converting equipment.
• Respond to machine breakdowns and repair using mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Execute preventative maintenance plans.
• Complete work order requests for improvements and non-breakdown repairs.
• Build relationships with operators and plant staff to improve plant safety, quality and performance.

How you'll help the formula:

• Repair and maintain adhesive perpetration, coating and converting equipment.
• Responding to machine breakdown calls and repair using mechanical, electrical and PLC troubleshooting skills.
• Executing preventative maintenance plans.
• Completing work order requests for improvements and non-breakdown repairs.
• Build relationships with operators and other plant staff in order to improve plant safety, quality and performance.

Key elements for your role:

• High school diploma or GED; secondary education in a skilled trades curriculum preferred.
• 5+ years experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance in a manufacturing setting.

• Ability to fabricate using: saws, drills, mills, lathes and welding equipment.
• Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical control systems.
• Strong customer service and ability to work with a team.
• Ability to use computers, tablets and Microsoft products.
• Ability to log in to Allen Bradley PLCs with Studio 5000 software to troubleshoot preferred
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
