Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a large facility in Schaumburg, IL to perform preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs on building systems, ensuring safety and energy efficiency.

The role requires hands-on work, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and solid organizational skills. You will support installation and modification of equipment, review work orders, and follow established procedures under supervision. 40–45 hours per week with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
• In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.

CBRE is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician toperform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systemsincluding mechanical and electrical components. This role supports energyefficiency, ensures compliance with safety codes, and assists with equipmentinstallations and modifications. Ideal candidates have basic mechanicalexperience, strong organizational skills, and the physical ability to handlemanual tasks in a fast-paced environment.

This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Servicesjob function. They are responsible for providing support, preventivemaintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Need

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
• Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and manage work orders through a CMMS.
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The maximum salary for the Maintenance Technician position is $56,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience.
