Quanex Building Products Corp. in Jackson, GA, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift. The role ensures robust operation of plant equipment through preventative maintenance, repairs and continuous improvement, with training on 1st shift.

The ideal candidate has 2-3 years maintenance experience and hands-on experience with PLCs, HMIs, drives, and electrical schematics, and can read electrical diagrams and handle up to 480V. Hourly pay listed, plus shift differential and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and pass Electrical fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Working with PLCs, HMIs, safety controllers, etc. to improve plant automation.
• Performing general maintenance of all equipment.
• Assisting in implementation of new equipment and improvements.
• Performing thorough repairs with feedback from internal customers.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and line workers to solve issues and implement sustainable solutions.
• Diagnose failed components and work safely on voltages up to 480V.
• Use a digital voltmeter (DVM).
• Attend outside training and seminars for continual education.

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician- 2nd Shift to join our team located in Jackson, Georgia.

The Maintenance Technician will ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance, repairs and continuous improvement.

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday, 2pm-10pm with training initially on 1st shift.

Hourly Rate: $34-$40/hr. commensurate with experience + shift differential with bonus potential

What Success Looks Like:

• Working with PLCs, HMIs, safety controllers, etc. to improve overall plant automation efforts.
• Performing general maintenance of all equipment.

• Performing thorough work and follow-through on the repairs through feedback from internal customers.
• Communicate with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and perform sustainable solutions.
• Must be able to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
• Must know how to properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM).
• Continually coordinate equipment updates, and operational issues with off shift maintenance personnel and other team members as needed.
• Attend outside training and seminars for continual education.

What You Bring:
