Job summary

Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort is seeking a Maintenance Technician to uphold the facility’s physical functionality across guest rooms, public spaces and back‑of‑house areas.

You will perform a range of repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC and masonry, while documenting work and coordinating with team members for preventive maintenance. This full‑time, year‑round role requires a 2nd shift with weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in building maintenance and repairs in a hotel environment preferred.
• Ability to inspect guestrooms, public spaces and back‑of‑house areas for repairs or touch‑ups.
• High degree of attention to safety, quality and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC and masonry.
• Inspect guestrooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas for repairs or touch‑ups.
• Repair or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware and fixtures.
• Maintain records of repairs and report completed work or areas needing attention or a room out of order.
• Support the preventive maintenance program across departments.

Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician, you will maintain the physical functionality of the facility including our guest rooms, public space and heart-of-the-house areas. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Performs a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks including carpentry, plumbing, electric, painting, HVAC and masonry.
• Inspect guestrooms, public space, back-of-the-house, and heart-of-the-house for areas to repair, touch up or replace.
• Repairs, or replace items such as light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall coverings, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous items.
• Assists other department team members in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program.
• Makes records of repairs made, reports completed repairs, or places areas needing further attention or a room 'out of order.
