Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC is seeking a Tier 1 Automation Technician to perform preventative maintenance and repair on automated equipment and robots per machine manuals and company policy.

This role requires daily walk-throughs, mold change coordination, PM execution, troubleshooting, and maintaining safety devices. Strong adherence to Food Safety and ISO/SQF policies is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily walk-through focusing on part containment, equipment condition, and clear walkways in automation areas.
• Check email daily and mold change schedule.
• Review JDE system for scheduled PMs.
• Set up mold change and part containment.
• Troubleshoot and repair automation equipment, including robots.
• Maintain guards and safety devices on automated equipment.
• Maintain housekeeping and work area cleanliness.
• Adhere to Food Safety, ISO/SQF, and plant safety policies.

Job description

PURPOSE: The Tier 1 Automation Technician performs preventative maintenance and repair work on all automated equipment and robots as set forth in machine manuals and by company policy pertaining to automated equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND AUTHORITY

• Perform a daily walk through giving attention to part containment on set ups, condition of equipment, and clear walkways in automation areas.
• Check email daily.
• Check molding grid daily for mold change schedule.
• Check JDE system daily for scheduled PM's.
• Pit - stop equipment according to Molding Pit Stop schedule.
• Perform preventative maintenance duties on all equipment.
• Set up mold change and part containment.
• Troubleshoot and repair Bailer.
• Adjust equipment for size change.
• Repair offline and online automation equipment including robots.
• Responsible for maintaining, installing, and or fabricating all guards and safety devices on automated equipment.
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping in and around work area.
• Perform job requirements in a safe and professional manner.
• Perform any other duties as established by the Automation supervisor and or Technical manager.
• Understand the importance of Food Safety, ISO/SQF and Plant Safety Policies.
