Job description

Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment and the facility. This role involves working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Logical thinking and troubleshooting skills are essential. This position is vital for the safe and efficient operation of the facility. Working hours are Monday through Thursday, 2:00 pm - 12:00 am, with potential variations based on business needs.

Responsibilities - Maintenance:
  • Ensure safety for oneself and coworkers at all times.
  • Assist the production team to ensure smooth start-ups and optimal equipment performance throughout the day.
  • Inspect machinery for proper performance, detect faults, and diagnose malfunctions using testing equipment.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance to keep machinery in optimal condition.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
  • Carry out general facility maintenance tasks.
  • Determine and procure materials, equipment, and supplies needed for daily maintenance; complete work orders accurately, timely, and cost-effectively.
  • Support and maintain plant preventative maintenance programs.
  • Help manage chemical and repair parts inventory.
Qualifications - Education / Experience / Skills:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic training or trade school degree is a plus.
  • New graduates from technical programs are encouraged to apply.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic systems, and others.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on complex projects.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with various tools and applications.

Salary range: $35,000 - $40,000 biweekly.

Physical and Mental Demands: The physical and mental requirements include working in a manufacturing environment, with frequent walking, standing, lifting up to 55 lbs, pushing/pulling up to 75 lbs, and working at heights above 4 feet. Personal protective equipment is required, and exposure to wet conditions, cold temperatures, and moving mechanical parts is possible.
Work Environment: The environment involves manufacturing settings with potential exposure to wet conditions, cold temperatures, and moving machinery. PPE must be worn as required, and accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
