Job description

Summary: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of production equipment and facilities. The role involves working with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Strong troubleshooting skills are essential. This position is vital for the safe and efficient operation of the facility. General working hours are Monday through Thursday, 2:00pm - 12:00am, subject to change based on business needs.

Responsibilities - Maintenance:
  1. Safety: Ensure the safety of oneself and colleagues at all times.
  2. Assist the production team to ensure smooth start-ups and equipment performance.
  3. Inspect machinery and diagnose faults using testing equipment.
  4. Perform repairs and maintenance to keep equipment productive.
  5. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and plumbing systems.
  6. Perform general facility maintenance tasks as needed.
  7. Determine materials and supplies required and complete work orders promptly and cost-effectively.
  8. Support and maintain plant preventative maintenance programs.
  9. Assist in managing chemical and repair parts inventory.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred; additional mechanic or trade school training is a plus.
  • New graduates from technical programs encouraged to apply.
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team on complex projects.
  • Good interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with tools and applications.
Compensation:
$35,000 - $40,000 biweekly
Physical and Mental Demands:

Work is performed in a manufacturing environment. Employees must occasionally sit, handle objects, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, talk, hear, taste, or smell. Frequent walking and standing are required. Ability to lift up to 55 lbs regularly and push/pull up to 75 lbs. Climbing ladders and working at heights above 4 feet is necessary.

Work Environment:

Exposure to wet conditions, cold temperatures, and moving mechanical parts. PPE such as eyewear, hearing protection, gloves, and chemical-proof aprons are required depending on the task.
