We are currently seeking a dynamic, highly skilled, and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our first shift team in our fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The ideal candidate will have broad experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of food manufacturing equipment. This includes an in-depth understanding of electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, motors, electrical controls, conveyor systems, and boilers. If you are a problem solver who enjoys working with your hands and has a passion for machinery, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all production and operating equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical failures to ensure maximum operational efficiency, safety, and reliability.
• Maintain and repair conveyor systems to ensure smooth operations.
• Diagnose and repair faults in motors and electrical controls.
• Regularly inspect boilers and related components, perform necessary repairs and routine maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed and any changes made to machinery or equipment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Collaborate with the production team to ensure machinery is in optimal working condition and minimize downtime.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest ways to improve the efficiency of our operations.
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience with electrical troubleshooting, pneumatics, motors, electrical controls, conveyor systems, and boilers.
• Technical degree or certification in a related field is highly desired.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent understanding of safety procedures for both electrical and mechanical maintenance work.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Proficient with hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Physical ability to lift heavy machinery and work in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work in shifts and be on call for emergencies.
