Job summary

Multimatic Butler in Butler, Indiana is expanding its workforce and seeks skilled technicians to maintain equipment and support PM checks and procedures as scheduled.

Assist with setup and changeovers, and work with high-tech production equipment, including robotics, to ensure optimal performance and uptime for our automotive manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years minimum in repair of production equipment or machining.
• Journeyman certification or formal training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair production equipment and perform die changes.
• Set up machines and prepare tooling.
• Machining tasks: grinding, turning and milling.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
• Execute preventative maintenance.
• Safely operate all machinery.
• Plan time, materials and equipment for jobs.
• Complete forms and log work.
• Carry required hand tools or obtain them.

SUMMARY

Maintains all equipment and facilities. Performing all PM checks and procedures as scheduled. Assist with set up and change over’s.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Machine repair and die change over.


• Machine set up procedures


• Perform machining tasks, such as grinding, turning & milling


• Trouble shoot and resolve problems


• Carry out procedures of the preventative maintenance program


• Ability to safely operate all machinery


• Schedule time, material and equipment required to perform the job


• Properly use time and complete all forms as required


• Have or acquire all hands tools to perform the job
