Job summary

Multimatic Butler in Butler, Indiana is searching for technicians to maintain and repair production equipment, perform PM checks, and set up machining lines with a focus on reliability and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with two years of repair or machining experience, or a journeyman’s certificate. Training will be provided in a high-tech environment with lasers, robots, and forming presses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with a minimum of two years’ experience in repair of production equipment or machining; journeyman training is also acceptable.
• Journeyman’s certification or formal training is valued as an alternative to extensive experience.

Responsibilities

• Machine repair and die change over.
• Machine set up procedures.
• Perform machining tasks such as grinding, turning and milling.
• Trouble shoot and resolve problems.
• Carry out the preventative maintenance program.

Summary

Maintains all equipment and facilities. Performing all PM checks and procedures as scheduled. Assist with set up and change over’s.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Machine repair and die change over.
• Machine set up procedures
• Perform machining tasks, such as grinding, turning & milling
• Trouble shoot and resolve problems
• Carry out procedures of the preventative maintenance program
• Ability to safely operate all machinery
• Schedule time, material and equipment required to perform the job
• Properly use time and complete all forms as required
• Have or acquire all hands tools to perform the job
