Multimatic New Haven is seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to lead the design, development, and launch of fixtures and tooling for current production and new programs. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and QA to ensure timely through-put and quality.
The role requires deep hands-on experience on the shop floor, strong communication across all levels, and a proven track record in tooling design, PPAP, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.

Increase Company profitability by providing well designed equipment, tools and fixtures for future programs and current production tools and support the quotation process.
Ability to read and interpret documents and statues from jurisdictional agencies and governmental units, procedure manuals, and specification manuals. Ability to write instructions, plant operating procedures, and routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers, regulatory agencies, and employees of the organization.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply basic concepts of physical science.
Ability to apply common sense understanding and create instructions from technical data or statutes furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Interpret and apply regulations and procedures to situations.
