Job summary

SiouxCityJobList is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repairs, report to the Maintenance Manager, and ensure compliance with safety, SQF regulations, and all applicable policies. This role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and supporting parts ordering.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and repair mechanical failures (bearings, seals, pumps, etc.).
• Perform advanced preventative maintenance on machines and building daily.
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• CIP knowledge (pumps, valves, controller, etc.).
• Work with the Maintenance manager to ensure parts are ordered accurately and timely.
• Assist with unplanned machine breakdowns as needed.
• Maintain daily PM paperwork.
• Ensure safe use of equipment.
• Perform other maintenance duties as requested.
• Knowledge of Electrical, Plumbing and welding are beneficial.

Job description

This position will directly report to the Maintenance Managers and work with all Management, Production and Maintenance personnel. This position is primarily responsible for performing building and mechanical equipment maintenance and repairs as necessary. Responsible for compliance with safety and all other company policies, SQF regulations and local, state and federal policies, laws and regulations.

Essential Job Duties

• Diagnose and repair Mechanical Failures (i.e. bearings, Seals, pumps, etc.)
• Perform advanced preventative maintenance on machines and building as assigned daily.
• Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• CIP Knowledge (pumps, valves, controller, etc.)
• Work with the Maintenance manager and Purchasing Supervisor to ensure repair parts are ordered accurately and in a timely manner.

• Able to operate skid loaders and pallet jacks.

• Basic computer skills able to use preventative maintenance software.
• Follow and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOP’s) and safety requirements, including PPE.
